What stays here and what the browser may process.
BanglaTools does not receive microphone audio. The site only reads recognition results exposed by the browser and stores the editable draft locally.
Some browsers send audio to their own online speech-recognition provider. That processing is governed by the browser and provider, so do not dictate confidential information unless you accept their policies.

SpeechRecognition is not implemented consistently across browsers. The editor remains usable for manual corrections even when voice recognition is unavailable.
Use a supported browser
Try a current Chrome or Edge release. Support may be missing or limited in Firefox and Safari.
Allow microphone access
Open the browser site settings, set Microphone to Allow, reload the page and start again.
Check HTTPS and connectivity
Microphone access requires a secure page in production, and browser speech services may require an internet connection.

How do I use Bangla voice typing online?
Open the tool in a supported browser, choose Bangla — Bangladesh, select Start voice typing and allow microphone access. Speak clearly in Bangla, then stop to edit, copy or download the recognised text.
Which browser works best for Bengali voice typing?
Browser support varies because this tool uses the Web Speech API. Current Chromium-based browsers such as Chrome and Edge generally provide the broadest speech-recognition support. Firefox and some Safari versions may not expose the required recognition API.
Why is the microphone button disabled?
The browser does not expose a compatible SpeechRecognition interface. Try an up-to-date Chrome or Edge browser on HTTPS, or use the Bengali voice keyboard already installed on your phone.
Why does Bangla voice recognition stop or show a network error?
Some browsers provide speech recognition through an online service. A weak connection, browser service outage, microphone problem or denied permission can stop recognition. Check the site microphone permission and try again.
Can I add punctuation while speaking Bangla?
Yes. Keep spoken punctuation commands enabled and say commands such as ‘কমা’, ‘দাঁড়ি’, ‘প্রশ্নবোধক চিহ্ন’, ‘নতুন লাইন’ or their English equivalents. Turn the option off when those words should remain literal text.
Does BanglaTools store my microphone recording?
No audio is sent to or stored by BanglaTools. However, the browser may send audio to its own speech-recognition provider. The editable transcript and autosaved draft remain in your browser unless you copy or download them.
Can I edit a Bengali voice transcript?
Yes. The final transcript is a normal Unicode Bengali document. You can type corrections, undo or redo edits, load a sample, copy the result and download it as UTF-8 TXT.
Is Bengali speech to text always accurate?
No. Accuracy depends on the microphone, background noise, speaking speed, accent, names and the browser recognition service. Review names, numbers and uncommon words before using the transcript.
