Suppose your transcript has three yearly results. The yearly GPA is weighted by the credits completed in that year.

The safest calculation is the one that follows the credits and final grades printed on your marksheet. Use the yearly mode when your result already gives a GPA for each year; use course mode when you have subject-level credits.

Use the correct programme and year count. Honours, Degree Pass and Masters can have different result structures. Select the closest programme, then match the rows to your transcript.
Do not guess missing credits. A credit-weighted result is only as accurate as the credits and grades you enter. Check your marksheet or college record first.

What is the formula for an NU CGPA calculator?

What does an F do to my NU CGPA?
An F contributes 0.00 grade points and the calculator flags the result for review. The official university rule for progression, improvement or final classification should be checked for your programme.
What is first class in NU CGPA?
A CGPA of 3.00 or above is commonly described as first class, 2.25–2.99 as second class and 2.00–2.24 as third class. Use the official consolidated result for the final classification.
