Five pixel-font treatments
Compare classic arcade, bold block, pixel outline, dot matrix and soft-pixel treatments without retyping.
Turn short English text into crisp 5×7 pixel art. Compare five treatments, tune pixel scale, spacing, padding, colors and transparency, then download a watermark-free PNG or SVG.
Type a title, game label or logo word. The canvas redraws from a custom 5×7 bitmap alphabet, so every block stays sharp at integer scale and the downloaded result matches the preview.
Rendered locally in your browser. No image is uploaded.
Use PNG for quick graphics and SVG when you want lossless scaling. This tool creates a text graphic, not an installable font file.
A pixel font generator—also called a pixel text generator, pixel text maker, pixel art font generator or 8-bit text generator—converts letters into glyphs drawn on a small square grid. Each active grid cell becomes a visible square, dot or rounded pixel, creating the blocky bitmap look associated with early displays and retro games. This tool renders a text graphic and exports PNG or SVG; it does not create an installable TTF or OTF font file.
Every visible option is applied to the canvas and SVG rather than being a decorative mock preview.

Set whole-pixel scale from 3× to 16×, change columns between letters and add a clean canvas margin.
Choose text and background colors, remove the background and add an optional one-pixel shadow.
Download a bitmap PNG, save a crisp vector SVG or copy the PNG directly when the browser allows image clipboard access.
The same preview can become a quick raster asset or a scale-independent vector. Keep important text available as real text elsewhere.
Export PNG at an integer scale for labels, score panels and title cards. Avoid resizing by fractional percentages, which can blur the grid.
Use a transparent background when layering the result over artwork. SVG is useful when the final layout size is not decided yet.
PNG can be pasted as an image in supported browsers. If you need characters inside a text field rather than an image, use the related Big Text Generator.
The page uses its own simple grid glyphs for A–Z, numbers and common punctuation. It does not copy a branded game font or transfer a third-party font licence.
PNG and SVG contain the rendered words you entered, not a complete keyboard font. Lowercase English is displayed with the same uppercase 5×7 glyphs; unsupported scripts are reported instead of being approximated. For long paragraphs, editable documents or software-wide typography, choose a properly licensed font with the required character set.
These public standards explain the rendering surface and why meaningful words should not exist only inside an image.

Type a short label, pick a pixel treatment, adjust scale, spacing, padding and colors, then download PNG or SVG. The live preview is the generated result.
A pixel or bitmap font represents each glyph on a fixed grid of on/off cells. Straight edges and integer scaling give it the familiar retro display look.
People often use the terms together. Eight-bit describes an era and visual style, while bitmap or pixel font describes how glyphs are constructed on a grid.
Yes. Turn on Transparent background and choose Download PNG. The file keeps transparent areas around and between the pixels.
PNG stores a fixed raster size. SVG stores the same pixel shapes as vectors, so you can scale the graphic without introducing blur.
Copy PNG writes an image to the clipboard where browser support permits it. The result is not Unicode text; for a text-field banner use the Big Text Generator instead.
Start with the native 5×7 grid and an integer scale such as 4×, 6× or 8×. Test at the actual UI size and maintain strong contrast for small labels.
The generated shapes come from this tool's original 5×7 grid. You can use the exported graphic, but you remain responsible for words, trademarks and other artwork in the final design.
A–Z, 0–9, spaces and common punctuation are supported. Lowercase is converted to the corresponding uppercase glyph. Unsupported characters are listed below the preview.
Not yet. A credible Bengali bitmap alphabet needs many more carefully designed glyphs and conjunct handling, so বাংলা characters are reported as unsupported rather than drawn incorrectly.
