Test Nikosh Bangla Font with your own words, get the TTF ZIP from a Bangladesh government source, and install it correctly for Windows, macOS, Linux, or Microsoft Word.
Extract the downloaded ZIP and choose the font file. Previewing happens entirely in your browser, so the file never leaves your device.
The Bangladesh Election Commission’s download page lists a file named NikoshTTF.zip. BanglaTools points to that file instead of repackaging it, so you can see exactly where it comes from.
Always extract the ZIP first. Installing the ZIP itself will not add the font to Word or other applications.
Nikosh can change how valid Bangla text looks. It cannot turn older Bijoy ANSI text into Unicode. If pasted text becomes scrambled or unreadable, fix the encoding first and then choose the font.

The Bangladesh Election Commission download page lists a Nikosh TTF ZIP. This page links directly to that government-hosted file and its source page.
Yes. Download and extract the ZIP, then choose the TTF file in the preview tool above. The file opens locally in your browser and is not uploaded.
Extract the ZIP, right-click the Nikosh TTF file, choose Install or Install for all users, then restart Word or any app that was already open.
Close and reopen Word after installation. If it is still missing, install the font for all users and confirm that the extracted TTF—not the ZIP—was installed.
Nikosh is used to display Bangla text, but a font does not convert old Bijoy ANSI text into Unicode. If copied text is garbled, convert the encoding separately before choosing the font.
Only if the text is already valid Unicode and the previous font lacked Bangla glyphs. Box characters or scrambled letters can indicate an encoding issue rather than a font issue.
The preview works in browsers that support local FontFace loading. File selection varies by phone and browser; desktop is usually easier for extracted font files.
A download location does not by itself grant every use. Check any license or usage notice supplied with the font and confirm permission for your intended publication, app, or commercial project.
