Pasted text and TXT files
Text entered into the converter and UTF-8 TXT files are processed locally by JavaScript in your browser. BanglaTools does not transmit this content to the file-conversion API.
Bangla spell checker
TXT and DOCX imports are read locally in the browser; BanglaTools does not upload the original file. Extracted or entered spell-check text is sent through BanglaTools' same-origin route to api.spellcheck.bangla.gov.bd only after you click Check spelling. BanglaTools does not store or log the submitted text, and the upstream request sets permissionToStoreData to false. The Bangladesh government infrastructure remains governed by its own policies. Do not submit confidential or sensitive text.
TikTok public-profile lookup
When you submit a TikTok username or profile URL, the browser sends it to BanglaTools' same-origin route. The route forwards only the normalized public username to a third-party public-profile data service and returns the public display name, verification status, follower count, total likes, and video count. BanglaTools temporarily caches that public snapshot for up to 15 minutes to reduce repeated requests; it does not request or store a TikTok password, private account data, or your TikTok login.
DOCX and XLSX files
When you select Word and Excel mode and submit a file, the browser sends that file, its filename, and the selected conversion direction to the Next.js API. The route processes the file for the request, returns the converted copy with Cache-Control: no-store and X-File-Retention: none, then releases the request data. The application does not write uploaded documents to disk.
Logs and infrastructure
The application does not log document text or successful upload contents. It records server start and stop events and internal conversion errors without document bodies. A production hosting or network provider may independently process standard connection data such as IP address, request time, and user agent under its own operational policies.
Theme preference, cookies, and third parties
The site stores one value named banglatools-theme in browser local storage when you choose system, light, or dark mode. It is not an identifier and is not sent to the conversion API. The current site does not set application cookies or include advertising, behavioral analytics, social tracking pixels, or third-party font requests. External reference links apply the destination site's privacy policy.
Your choices and contact
Use converter text/TXT mode when content must remain entirely on-device. Do not upload confidential Office files or submit confidential spell-check text unless you accept the stated request-time processing. Privacy questions can be sent to [email protected].
