Notes that prevent mistakes
Pre-kars move. ি, ে, and ৈ are written before the consonant in Bijoy. কি becomes wK in visual order — the converter handles this reordering for you.
ো and ৌ are two glyphs. They are stored as ে + া and ে + ৗ, so কো becomes ‡Kv after reordering.
One legacy slot, several meanings. The reverse direction decodes with longest match, and a few slots accept alternative inputs. When a decoded word looks wrong, convert it again from the other direction or check the accuracy test results.
Keep a Unicode copy. Bijoy text is only readable with a legacy font installed. The chart is for verification and education; day-to-day conversion should keep Unicode as the storage format.

How was this Unicode to Bijoy chart generated?
The chart is generated directly from the same mapping tables the online converter uses, so it always reflects what the tool actually does. The accuracy page publishes roundtrip test results for every entry.
Why does ো have two Bijoy characters?
ো and ৌ have no single Bijoy ANSI character. Bijoy stores ো as the two glyphs of ে plus া, written after the consonant: কো becomes ‡Kv once the pre-kar ে moves into position.
Why does the Bijoy column look like quote marks and dashes?
Bijoy ANSI reuses legacy Latin character positions for Bangla glyphs. Without SutonnyMJ or another compatible Bijoy font applied, those slots display as quote marks and accented Latin letters. The SutonnyMJ font guide covers safe setup.
Is the same chart valid for Bijoy 52, Bijoy Classic, and Boishakhi?
These fonts follow the same legacy ANSI glyph positions, so the chart applies to all of them. Rare custom glyphs and older keyboard variants can differ; verify uncommon conjuncts against the original document.
Can I use this chart to convert text by hand?
Manual conversion also needs reordering (pre-kars, reph, hasanta) before the character mapping, which the chart alone does not show. For real text, use the converter and keep the Unicode original for search and storage.
